You shouldn't be having these problems.
Have you installed the latest hotfix released just the other day?

Have you eliminated your file from the equation by opening an empty template with a default library and saving that to see if it still crashes?
If it does I would be suspecting a hardware/driver problem if not then I would suspect something wrong with the file or library you are working with.

<T>Hi All,

I have a couple of problems that compound themselves.
Firstly, ArchiCAD 15 crashes on every save. While this is handy unto itself, my second issue is that loading the library takes 20-25 minutes. Which means every half an hour I have to reload ArchiCAD, accept the autosave from 2 minutes before the crash and 2 minutes after the file was opened, spend 20 minutes waiting for everything to load, try to contain my automatic ctrl+s reflex, until I don't, crash the program, cancel that bs bugfix, and repeat step 1.
Please help?
Yours,
Nick.</T>

You're right. I shouldn't be having problems with the install that prohibit any use of the package. Especially one that costs so much and has passed through 15 releases and countless hotfixes.

I've checked the file. It works on other computers. other 32bit OS's. With same or less RAM and less powerful graphics cards. Same or less processors. With and without the hotfix, which incidently I have installed on my computer.

I don't understand why everything is so hard with this program. I could hand draw a document set including revisions before I could bugfix an existing document set produced with this. I have spent the entire morning restarting and restarting ArchiCAD.. Productive? yes!

OK I'd be suspecting a problem with your machine then.
You could try looking at un-installing and then re-installing Archicad.
That shouldn't be the issue but I have seen stranger things happen.

I would suspect video drivers, faulty RAM, windows updates.
Go to your device manager and check there are no errors on your devices.
Try the latest drivers for your video card.
Consider upgrading to 64 bit Windows 7 - means backing up all your data and re-installing all programs.

It could even be just a combination of that particular file on your machine.
Try a blank template with the default Archicad library.
Model something simple and save that to see what happens.
