<T>Hi,

I have a question for all the Mac gods out there.

I recently purchased AC 11. Until now I've been using AC 8.1 on a G5 PowerPC running OS 10.4.11. I have a few questions:

I plan to purchase a new Mac Pro with 10.5 to run AC 11. Will I be able to open and convert 8.1 files to 11 on this new Intel based machine.

Also, if I reprogram/update my key will I still be able to use it on the older Power PC machine to look at all my existing AC 8.1 files? Is the key affected by the Intel vs PowerPC issue?

Thanks,
S Pugliese</T>

AC11 will open 8.1 files.
I don't think there is a problem with using the updated key on the old machine, but if you like you can copy your whole 8.1 folder from your G5 to the Macintel. It will run there too (in Rosetta PPC emulation). But the 8.1 installer won't work.
