Runs ok here, and I think it is the original 9 version (w/ updates), not from a later version installation disk. I am using the USB dongle. I don't think there is an Intel version, that the application needs to be copied from a PPC computer to an Intel.

<T>I've had a search of the forum here to see if there is anything about how far back you can use earlier versions of ArchiCAD but I had no luck.

I have AC 12 but need to open an old project using AC 9 and I thought it was possible to do that. I seem to remember though that you had to install from one of the installation disks either 11 or 12 a compatible version of AC 9 but I'm having no luck with that either.

Anyone know if I can run AC9 with AC12 dongle?
I think it maybe to do with the dongle as I see here

that I may need to customise my WIBU installation.
AC9 will run fine with AC12's dongle. I'm not sure if you have to customize the WIBU installation, try the below first.

You can't install AC9 from AC12's installation disks. You will have to get the AC9 disk from your reseller.

However, as David suggests, AC9's <S></S>installer<E></E> will not run on a Macintel. So you will have to install it on your PPC G4 and then copy the complete Archicad 9 folder to the Macintel. If you have already installed AC12 with WIBU support on it, AC9 should run fine as well, in PPC emulation (Rosetta) mode.

Besides, on the Mac, AC12's USB Wibu key will run all OSX-enabled Archicads, that is as far back as AC7.
