Archicad freezes after choosing a Line tools

This happens each time I choose a line tool, especially when I am on the third floor. The Archicad 12 International simply freezes itself.

Why is this happening? This gets on my nerves so much, and I can not complete my project on time because of this.

There are some .3ds file I imported in Archicad, and they are under the layers "terrain" and "trains". But if these file are the reason why the freeze bug is happening, then can you be so kind and forbid the import of .3ds files into the Archicad. Or at least tell us, regular user that these files can cause a freeze.

I have also noticed, that Archi cad freezes when I try to select my pretty complicated spline.

I opened your .pln in AC14 (imported .3ds objects missing) and have no problems with the Line tool.
Try to copy&paste all storys into a New file.

It might be something with the .3ds files, maybe they are causing the freezing issue.

You should find out if it is file-specific or a general problem.
You can start a new file, see whether the Line Tool still freezes the program.
Also, you can start a new file, do a New & Reset, see whether the Line Tool still freezes the program with all the default settings.

It is file-specific. I do not get this problems when I start a blank new file.

Also I noticed that my Archiced gets freezed, when I have a couple of splines on some floor, and when I am trying to select them.
