Archicad 7 not seeing WIBU-KEY

I am running a full, standalone version of Archicad 7 on a machine with Windows 2000 Professional.

This week I did an automatic Windows Update and the machine can no longer see the WIBU-Key. This is a parallel port key not USB.

The usual first steps (restart Archicad, hard reboot, remove and restore key) have no impact.

The machine and software has been stable for several years.

Are there any issues with recent Win updates on 2000?

Any comments or suggestions would be most welcome.

If you go into Device Manager, is the WIBU-key listed as functioning properly? I just recently had an issue with an OS update that caused the WIBU key drivers to stop functioning, and I had to reinstall the device.
