The Autosave file is under Home -> Library -> Application Support -> Graphisoft. I don't know how AC works the autosave with 2 sessions open. At a minimum make a copy of the file.

I have no idea what would happen if you reopen another version of AC without closing the other one first. Logically if you reopen AC it should see the autosaved file. But sometimes logic has nothing to do with it.

<T>My Archicad session just crashed. Help!!

I know that, normally, if I re-open Archicad, I will automatically be taken to the temporary autosave file.

The problem is, I have another session running. I'm concerned that if I close this other session, I'll lose the autosave file for my original session.

So how do I access the autosave file?

If I now try to open another session in a new window, Archicad only wants to know the name of the file I want to open, and isn't offering me the autosave file.

Urgent advice welcomed.</T>

Thanks for coming back so quickly, Eduardo.

All is well: a colleague assured me that if I closed all sessions, then restarted Archicad, the autosave file would be from the session that crashed. And that is indeed what happened.

Phew!
