Hi Ali,
This laptop would be fine except for its display resolution, which is 1366x768.
That is extremely low resolution for productive work with ArchiCAD.
I would suggest you look for a laptop that has resolution of 1440x900, 1600x900, 1600x1200, 1920x1080 or similar.
I personally would not settle for anything that has less than 900 pixels vertical resolution but I prefer 1080 or 1200.

As Laszlo says, screen resolution is critical (that's why I love my MacBook Pro with 1900x1200) but if you cannot afford the big internal display you may be able to save by hooking up an external monitor. Of course for ArchiCAD you really want a top of the line laptop so this may not be much of an issue.

I just checked the HP site here in the US and they have the Envy 17" in the "recommended" configuration for about $1600. With the addition of upgrades to Win7 Pro, 1080p display and 8GB RAM (from 6) it comes to just over $1900. Seems like a pretty good deal but I don't know what they sell for over there.

The 2048x1536 resolution is the resolution of the exterior monitor you can connect to the laptop. If that is fine with you, go for it.
But the built-in display of the laptop is capable of only 1366x768 according to the site.
As I see, this is true for all Toshiba a660 models.

Sorry, but I personally do not have 2-3 hours to make the research so that I can make a good recommendation to you.
I think it is your responsibility to really find out what you need in terms of hardware and make the purchase accordingly. You will be working with it for 3 years or so you should take the time to find the best system for you.

What I can say is I would buy a laptop with the following minimum specifications:
Core i7 processor (dual or quad core)
at least 17" screen size
at least 1440x900 resolution
NVidia 300 series graphics card (e.g. 330) or ATI 5000 series graphics card (e.g. 5850)
4-8 GB RAM.
Windows 7 home premium 64-bit
500 GB Hard drive

The Mobility Radeon HD 5000 series is the latest from AMD:

The GeForce 400 series is the latest from NVidia. But it has just been released so you will see mostly GeForce 300 series cards:

But most of these card are really strong and ArchiCAD will not fully utilize it because they have such brutal power.
