suggest that your antivirus software may have delete / disabled the files. During the re-install, be sure that your antivirus is (temporarily) disabled.
Thanks for the support folks,
I uninstalled 3 different versions of Java on my computer and re-installed a Java 6 via a link from Graphisoft, and things are working again.
Now when I restart computer, Java wants to update to the latest Java and delete the Java 6.
I am not allowing this for the time being as I need to get some work done.

What is with this Java thing ?
all the best
and
thanks again
I am pretty sure it is just the installation that requires the correct version of java.
Once you are up and running all should be fine.
