Thanks for looking up on it. It does seem there is a slew of inconsistent/unclear information on the matter as you have seen. I may just have to be the guinea pig and try it, or talk the boss into buying some new hardware, which is not likely
Thanks again!

<T>I have a MacBook Pro (model 3,1) Late 2007 and I am concerned that AC 15 will not run on it since 15 is 64-Bit only. Looking on the web, Apple says that Early 2008 models and up support the 64 Kernel. The late 2007 MacBook Pros had the Intel Core 2 Duo, which is 64-bit compatible but the 64-Bit kernel is not supported according to Apple. I know the kernel is the core of the OS so I am doubtful it would run.

I may just have to wait and see but one other issue is that I am running Leopard 10.5.8. So I will have to upgrade to Snow Leopard to test, but that may mean $30 down the drain if 15 does not work with the hardware.

Can anyone confirm so that I can lay my doubts to rest?</T>

Greg says that the Core2 Duo should work:
<LINK_TEXT text="http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/vie ... ht=#188897">http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?p=188897&highlight=#188897</LINK_TEXT>

referencing this Apple article that says yours is 64 bit:

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3696

Note that this other article:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3770

doesn't even mention your late 2007 MacBook as being able to run the 64 bit kernel.

This user forum discussion is confusing - I did not realize you could run 64 bit apps on the 32 bit kernel, so it seems like you should be OK...
Is it still possible to download the 64 bit preview version to see if that works?
The fact that the kernel doesn't run as a 64-bit process doesn't preclude other processes (including applications) from running as 64-bit. Take a look at Activity Monitor and see if you are already running 64-bit processes (a snippet of mine is attached).
