Icon Text boxes

Hello there,
The text boxes that pop up whenever I hover over a tool icon have disappeared, Is this related to a resolution issue or graphics?

How do i get them back?

In the HELP menu there is a "Show/Hide Tooltips" option.

Hi Barry

Thanks for your response, They are switched on but is showing a really tiny rectangle, its like the textbox is 1mm higher
