Are you saying the the file downloaded from lynda.com is what is giving you that error message?

Only someone who was a beta tester (presumably the person doing the lynda tutorial) can convert the file(s) with a special release candidate that only they can download from the beta site.

It looks like you may be talking about this course:
<LINK_TEXT text="https://www.lynda.com/ArchiCAD-tutorial ... typeid%3a2">https://www.lynda.com/ArchiCAD-tutorials/ArchiCAD-Essential-Training/480966-2.html?srchtrk=index%3a1%0alinktypeid%3a2%0aq%3aarchicad+essential+training%0apage%3a1%0as%3arelevance%0asa%3atrue%0aproducttypeid%3a2</LINK_TEXT>

You'll need to contact Thiago Mundim or Lynda directly to ask them to correct the problem. Thiago will have to update his files so that Lynda can re-post them.

<T>Hello, i have a problem here, perhaps somebody can help me!

I am using ArchiCAD 20 and windows 8.1, and I can't open *pln file that I get from lynda.com tutorial in "ArchiCAD Essential Training". The tutor used the same ArchiCAD version like me, AC 20, but i can't open it because it says that the file has been saved in ArchiCAD 20 beta version. So how do i overcome this problem? Is there exist a *pln file converter so that i can open it?</T>

Hi ZamARCH,

can you download the files again? because we had the "beta files" for download during the release day only, after we realised the mistake and fixed it changing to the final version.

I just downloaded the files again and they are working fine.

Thanks Karl for helping.

Best
hello thiago. You could share a link to the modified files? I have the same problem for the exercises. I found the link shared in cgpersia forum dating back to three months ago, so out of date. I would be grateful
