topic AC20 Save As AC19 ; here there be dragons! in Installation & update

<T>This is not a completely seamless process. I have found that a number of embedded library parts (downloaded from 3D Warehouse, converted to Morphs, saved as objects), do NOT convert well. (2D data goes, but no 3D). Also Cadimage tools pops up an error message in AC19 that I am using an earlier version, and to upgrade to the latest. (Well, it IS the latest in AC19). Not sure yet how to get rid of that one. Beware!</T>

HI, we were able to reproduce the issue: elements, downloaded from SketchUp 3D Warehouse, then converted to Morphs and saved as GDL objects, won’t be visible in the 3D view of ARCHICAD 19.
The reason behind this phenomenon is that new commands were placed in the script of the above elements. These new commands are not recognized by older ARCHICAD versions, because saving an archive plan doesn’t change the scripts.

A possible workaround can be Save As… in GDL format, then create a new object in ARCHICAD 19.
Another possibility is creating the element directly in the older ARCHICAD version and save it as linked library (not to the embedded).
