Pasting in ArchiCAD

Hi there,

I wonder if someone would please be able to help me?
I've been having trouble with the simple task of copying and pasting something. When I copy a piece of text from one plan into the one above it, it causes a long pause. This has only started happening as my file has become more complex, but it isn't a complex item I am copying.

You mean copying text inside a project from one story to another story?

Did some 'pasting' myself in a complex project.

I remember a strange issue with copy-pasting several years ago.
It turned out it was somehow related to Word.
What I did to solve it was I went to Word, typed a few characters, then selected them, pressed CTRL+C to copy them to Clipboard, pressed CTRL+V to immediately paste them back into the Word document, and after I did this strange ritual, the copy-paste speed in ARCHICAD returned to normal.
I don't even know how I managed to figure out this solution at the time, but it worked. You can try it, maybe it will help you.

Lazlo, DOn't Microsoft Office Tools have a custom clipboard that can contain more than one box of copied data? maybe that's why it doesn't always behave as expected.

Yes, could be, maybe an Office/Windows programmer would know the answer of how Word can affect copy-paste performance in another application.
