<R>I would like to bring up the topic of ArchiCAD performance.
I noticed that work in the program with the growth of the model at some point turns into pain and suffering. At first I blamed everything on huge detailed projects, which seemed logical. I start projects with a template that works quite well at first. With the same template, I started a small project - a house of 65 m2 without unnecessary detail. Everything is expected, it works quickly, no problem! But the problems started when I started making changes to the project. I did redevelopment, I removed unnecessary things, added a new one, and by the 6th version, everything started to slow down as if I were designing another school for 1500 squares with ventilation and heating. Exactly the same symptoms: selection of an object with a delay of 2-3 seconds, long transitions from view to layout and back, for 2 minutes opening specifications of windows and doors. Selecting tools with a delay of 2-3 seconds, selecting and performing operations with objects through a pop-up menu, opening a context menu or object settings .... Everything with a delay of 2+ seconds. So, purely for understanding the volume: about 20 tuned views, 7 layouts. That's it, there is nothing else in the project!
I was puzzled and collected all the same from scratch in a standard template and default interface settings. No brakes! Modified walls windows doors roof furniture ... does not slow down!
What could be the problem?
