Built-In Marker: Strange Behavior

I am experiencing strange behavior with the Built-In Detail Marker object in section views. This is a 17 teamwork file.

Here is what is happening:
I place the Detail Marker, arrange it and the marker head as desired, place the view on a layout and go on to something else.

But sometimes upon returning to the section view some of the marker heads have changed position and the font and size of font has changed (see attachments).

The problem is sporadic and I have not been able to intentionally recreate it.

Anyone else experience this?

Could it be related to the current scale?

For example, when you placed the markers then your current scale was 1:100 but when doing other things you changed it to 1:200 and thus the scale dependant objects appear different/larger/smaller/out of place?
