AC 11 Hotfix 1259 fails to install

I have recently upgraded hard drive and upgraded from V11 to V18. Still need to work with some V11 projects however while updating hotfix 1259 fails to install. All other hotfixes installed fine. Launching the installer initiated dialog asking to make changes. Clicking OK flickers AC11 splash screen then nothing. Tried uninstalling AC11 and re-installing but still come to this same point. Any workarounds out there?

I was wondering if it is a JAVA issue (being too new a version for AC11) but you said you have reinstalled AC11 itself - I would have assumed you would have had the same problem with that as well.

Maybe uninstall all JAVA and then install the JAVA version that is on the 11 disc.
Then you can update JAVA again after installing the hotfix.

Is the hotfix file a good download? - the one I have (for AUS version) is 72,596 KB.
Yours should be around the same size if not exactly the same.

Hi Barry,
My be possible but why did all other updates install properly. The download is good as I tried several times and they all came in with same file size.

That was it. I removed the new v8 java and installed right away.
