Slow when switching views

I am currently having very slow regen times when I am switching from view to view within the view map. Specifically, when moving from my finish floor plan to my RC plan. The file size is not big 17kb. Could there be anything in AC 11 that is causing this? Also note that I am hotlinking in 3 mod files. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I might try?

I am using Archicad 11 (1114) on Windows XP with 2gb ram.

Same here, but with a much larger file (ours is around 100Mb - but did you mean 17Mb rather than 17kb?).

Using the Views to just go between plan views takes, I guess, 15-20 seconds to just start to draw anything - VERY frustrating! The machines are MacPros or G5 Macs, with 2Gb RAM each.

We have a few hotlinked modules, so this could be a common theme… might be worth removing them to see if things speed up.
We're on Macs, so nothing in common there.
Ours is a Teamwork file, which can cause problems, but I suspect your file is not shared if it's so small.

Sorry this hasn't been much help. If I get a chance to experiment with the hotlinks I'll post an update.

If you don't mind sharing the files with Graphisoft, please send them to your ArchiCAD reseller. They will investigate the problem, and may forward the files to the development team to see what's wrong with them.
