topic Archicad 23 - cURL.exe multiple processes in Installation & update

<T>Hi, would there be program stability issues if I delete/block the cURL.exe process for running? The process is continuously opening numerous processes and causing 100% CPU usage.

I understand that its used for communicating with services over the network, but will there be any cons with removing the cURL process? Whitelisting the process in our AV is also not an option in our current environment (long story).

Thank you.</T>

Hi,
I've created a custom panel object using slab tool with thikness 0.01m. When I then use it with the curtrain tool, it goes automatically to a minimum thickness of 0.032m!

Is it possible to have a curtain wall with really thin custom panels?

Thank you in advance.
(I use Archicad 20)

Hi,

First, I hope that you and your loved ones are doing well during these challenging times!

Thank you for your question!

curl.exe is not an essential process in Windows. It affects BIMx publishing, maybe BIMcomponents connection but ARCHICAD is in general working fine without it!

In some cases, we even recommend "force quit" the process to solve some freezing issues. If you find that the process takes too much resource, feel free to close it!

Let me know if this helps. Thank you very much!

Best regards,
