I am having trouble installing archicad 18 for education. While it is unpacking the software it will just stop. I have uninstalled version 16 and can re-install 16 without any problem but cannot install version 18.

That sound like system problem. I downloaded mine online with no problem and it took more than one hr. check your RAM capacity and speed. A 2GB RAM will be sufficient. And use a( CA Cleaner ) to remove all the clog./trash.

It may also be that the install file did not download correctly and got corrupted. You can try to download it again and install that. Also, make sure you have Administrator right on the computer.
