Only Doors & Windows greyed out in Renovation Tool

This problem appears to have just suddenly appeared, when before the tool seemed normal.
My doors & windows are now greyed out on the Renovation Tool, although walls and objects etc are all as normal.

What can cause this?

I should have also said that this is happening on all my project files.....even ones that I haven't touched for weeks.

And yet strangely I find that on the upper floor of this building the windows are responding properly.

Where it isn't working I notice that the settings box shows the Renovation Status correctly, but greyed out.

I managed to solve this. The wall had somehow been drawn nit just twice....but 3 times! Not sure how I did that.
