topic ARCHICAD 22 Crash in Installation & update

<R>Hello,

I work since few month on this Archicad project
It is a Archicad 22 pln which was breviously on Archicad 19
No matter since last Friday
I use Archicad 23 to open/check it and AC23 proposes to correct a unidentified problem
I think a view make my file crash (Level 1.) so I make another one since the beginning (layer, pen, model view, etc. ...) -> but the mistake is allways the same after that
There is no library connection but this is not the subject of this post

I share my file if someone want to try something (during a few days) :
There were two colunms across a window
Since I have deleted them AC22 does no more crash
I think I have found the reason

I have been getting crashes in particular 22 files that seem to have 'bad' complex profiles.
They sometimes crash straight away on opening, or they will crash soon after.
These complex profiles have 'missing' building materials - but that shouldn't really be a problem.
They show in the Attribute Manager dialogue with a line under their name.

Once I delete these complex profiles the files are fine in 22.
Thankfully the files were all version 20 and could be opened and fixed in 20.

Be sure to send in your crash bug reports and preferably follow them up with your local support people.

Barry.

I have reported this as a bug but other than the problem seems to be with the complex profile, GS and I are no closer to the actual cause.

Many thanks to you Barry for this additional information. I take note of that. And yes the error report has been sent to Graphisoft.
