Archicad keeps crashing after Catalina upgrade - SOLVED

**Help** I upgraded to Catalina and now every time I go to edit text or add labels in the elevation view it crashes. It's now crashing anytime I edit text at all not just elevations. I looked online and found a Reddit thread with others who are having the same issue...is anyone else experiencing this and/or are there any work arounds until it gets fixed? Thanks.

**UPDATE - I NEEDED TO DOWNLOAD THE UPDATES - WORKS GREAT NOW!

I don't understand updating an OS without knowing what does it mean.

Have you got the latest AC updates loaded?

I did a clean install of Catalina before only installing AC23, I have very few problems with it, typically minor graphic issues. I am working in solo mode (no teamwork).

I have updated AC. How do I update the Wibu drivers?
They seem to be unto date but I can't be sure?

Ignore the previous message I found the driver on the Graphisoft website.

I have updated but still the same problem

Ok. I have updated Catalina, I have updated the Wibu drivers and I have the latest update for AC21.

It is still crashing when I use the text tool.

Can anybody help?

I am running IMac 3.2 GHz Intel i5 with Catalina 10.15.7

If it was a fix in a AC23 or 24 update, you are on the short end as that would imply a clash between AC and Catalina, which would not be resolved in AC21 as Graphisoft only supports the previous two(?) versions. Would have to get input from someone in GS regarding whether that is the case or not for this issue.

Hi Jason,

Thank you for the question and I am very sorry for the issue!

The crash with the text tool was a known issue with macOS Catalina. We made a hotfix for Archicad 22, via build 6025. Unfortunately, it was too difficult to port the fix back to Archicad 21. Also, as Ling suggested, we only release updates for the last two versions. I strongly recommend updating to the latest version to be able to benefit from the latest bug fixes and compatibility for your OS.

AC 23 keeps shutting down my MAC Pro. I have checked updates on 23 and the Wibukey and all are up to date.It happens when i have two AC 23 files open at the same time. I can open a File on 22 and a file on 23 and it does not kill my machine.

When Archicad 23 crashes, do you have a Bug Reporter appear? It would be great if we have the bug ID from it for further investigation.
