Hi, the file was missing libraries and we could not reproduce the slowness experienced by you. The crash report showed AC terminated with "force quit". If the problem persist, please upload a .pla instead of the .pln and we will continue investigating the issue!! Thanks, k

<T>Hi all! I had Archicad calculating a rendering using Cinerender and it crashed, probably because of not enough free space. I had around 30GB free space in the hard drive of my Macbook Pro and after it crashed I only have 2Gb free. I tried to locate with Finder any file larger than 1Gb and files created yesterday and it doesn't give any results. Diagnosis tells me I'm only using 8Gb virtual memory.

Does Cinerender store cache files somewhere for calculations which didn't get to erase or is there any place to configure virtual memory?

It gets really sluggish with so low disc space.</T>

Kind of same kind of crash happened to me too a couple of days ago, though in AC19.

You might find a resolution from your library folder:
/users/username/library/preferences/MAXON/cinerender#xxxxx/illum/
or depending when or why you crashed the answer might hide in some other folder downward that MAXON hierarchy.

I tried to stop rendering with the stop button in AC19 (the red x icon). It didn't work. At that monent an endless mass-storage writing loop initiated itself. My mass storage was about to fill up quickly, so I had to force-quit AC19 and its rendering engine. My mass storage was not recovered to its earlier state. I had only little left.

So I sought thoroughly, and found out, that there was this one huge file, in size of tens of gigabytes, in the ../prefs/MAXON/ hierarchy. I deleted the file. I tested AC19 rendering. It worked fine. I emptied the trash, and all of that 60GB's came all available to me again.

ps. with newest OSX varieties you need to use "GO TO FOLDER" to get in to your library folder in finder (cmd-shift-G).

I PM'd the crash ID and sent my file through the upload portal.
I haven't been able to reproduce the problem. Though I haven't tried that so much either.

I was experimenting and playing with curtain wall custom panels and upped settings a little bit for the rendering engine. Too much, obviously, and I quess my modest amount of RAM just ran out (32GB).
