Line Linetypes/color do not show

whenever i try to make a dashed line or apply any kind of linetype or color, my lines seem to ignore it, they are displayed in the viewport and on the layouts as solid lines of black color.
any idea what could be causing this?

Maybe a Graphic Override or Renovation Filter is being used that is changing the line's appearance?

It would be good if you could post screenshots of what you are doing and what the result is.
