<R>There is a problem in my Australian AC24 Template. I am unable to edit colors or ascertain their RGB values because the Edit colot box only partially appears when a color is selected from the Pens and Color Model views. See attached screen print. Is this a bug or something I've forgotten?</R>

That ol' Windows dialog is no fun. I guess you have UI scaling enabled for your display?

Hello Cornelis,

Thank you for sharing the issue!

As Ling and runxel has mentioned, this is indeed an issue with display scaling. Please check if you are settings the scaling larger than 100%. You can read more about it here: <LINK_TEXT text="https://www.windowscentral.com/how-set- ... windows-10">https://www.windowscentral.com/how-set-custom-display-scaling-setting-windows-10</LINK_TEXT>

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Best regards,
Thank you Minh. It was indeed a Windows 10 display setting issue. I use a 27" Dell screen and sometimes increase the Display/Scale +Layout settings from default 100% to 125% because I find the text too small. When this is done, the error occurs. I've just returned the display setting to 100% and the error is fixed.

Hi,

I'm not quite sure how the Archicad handles high resolution screens. Personally, I'm using a Dell XPS 15 with 4K display, scaling at 200%. Everything is fine for me, even on AC20 or 21. I guess this only happens with external display?

I suggest going through this article if you have issue with your high resolution display: <LINK_TEXT text="https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/hel ... pi-devices">https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3025083/windows-scaling-issues-for-high-dpi-devices</LINK_TEXT>
(see Workaround section)

Thank you very much!

Best regards,

I recall reading somewhere (here in the forum I think) that 200% works OK.
It is just the 125%, 150% that is a problem.
Yes, I think that is what was deduced.
Unfortunately, I'm still unable to reproduce it on the native screen of my laptop. Previously I had used 175%, until I found my eyes hurt after a full working day. Even then I had no cropped dialog issue. I tried with 125% and 225%, but the dialog still scales nicely, even if I start Archicad from scratch, or adjusting the scaling while AC is running.

I still think that it somehow relates to external display. I remembered coming across this issue once with an external 4K monitor, but it was long ago that I can't remember which AC version it was.
