So, the new Macpro is out and pricing as expected. Given that Lumion only runs on windows, what would be the best setup for Archicad & Lumion? AMD seem to be outpacing Intel, so Ryzen or Threadripper?
My 2013 Macpro trashcan is really slow now on saving, and layout redraws, despite 64gb memory etc.
2080ti, or something else - bearing in mind Lumion?

This is exacly why we need an ArchiCAD Benchmark file.
My computer runs multiple instances of ArchiCAD, and Lumion at the same time , no problem. Really fast too. Xeons run very cool, low cost to operate. I would recomend a Dell Mobile Workstaton.
Here is a link to some GS test for graphics cards - I am really happy with my NVIDIA P5000 for use with every progam I have used it with. Maxwell Studio/Render 5, Lumion 9, AutoCAD 2020, Revit 2020, Inventor, Solid Works, Vectorworks, Unreal ... I demo and beta test quite a few progams. I like my Dell 7720 very much.
