Another option is with the Standard Work Environment menu: Help > License Information... which shows the Build Number. Additionally on the Mac the splash screen can be brought up under ArchiCAD > About ArchiCAD..., I don't know if there is a Windows equivalent.

Hello,

I work in IT department and im trying to figure out how to know if a certain computer has some certain update level installed in windows environment. Older Archicad hotfixes were visible in "installed programs", but now with AC18 updates that doesnt happen. What im basically trying to accomplish, is to get a list to our management software of computers that have AC18, and DO/DONT have a certain update installed. The problem is, I cannot find the information anywhere. It doesnt come up in installed programs or updates. Can I find the information somewhere? It can be registry or a file, just need to know where to look.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\GRAPHISOFT\UsageLogger\AC18_NED5100

This string shows that I am on version NED5100, which reminds me I should update

On a PC you can right click on the 'Archicad.exe' program file and look at the Properties > Details to see the version and build number.

I am sure there will be an equivalent solution an a MAC.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER is doesnt work for me, as the management system cannot see into logged on users context. Looking from about I can do manually, but I need to be able to do it automatically with software. I will see if I can dig out the file version with code. Thank you.

Juhakem

Your other option is to search the C:\Program Files\Graphisoft\ArchiCAD 18 folder for an xml called ProductVersion.xml.
The second line of that xml contains the build number.
