When I have encountered problems with Java and Archicad before I have found that removing all versions of java except the one recommended for that version of Archicad seems to work.

You can always upgrade Java again after the installation/activation.

Hello, I was asked to help an associate with ArchiCAD 19 activation (student version).

The issue I encountered had to do with detecting Java. I enter the e-mail and serial number in activation prompt, click activate only to find out that ArchiCAD fails to detect Java.

Thus far, I have tried:
-different versions of JRE, both the "suggested" 8u45 as well as newer ones, both x86 and x86-64 arch-s
-manually point PATH environment variables to java/bin/java.exe
-run the activation command from command prompt (thank you UAC for the command)

I know for a fact that Java is functional - file associations in shell appear, browsers run applets and so forth.

OS is Win10 64-bit.

Has anyone ever figured this one out? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
