How to fix a corrupt project file - ?

Zooming out as far as the program will allow, and with all layers turned on I can see that something is not right.

Zoom to extend will not show it. I have to manually scroll to the extreme limit with the mouse to see it.

Any tips on how to find what the bad element is?

Perhaps it is not a bad element. Just a harmless bug you see only when you manually zoom to the extreme extent. I don't know.

If you start with a clean fresh project and zoom manually to the extreme you will see things in the upper left hand corner. It will be section markers, elevation markers, etc...unless you draw more things before you manually zoom out to the extreme limit.

Perhaps what I am seeing is not do to a corrupt file. ?

Can you just select all those Section and Elevation Lines and move them back close to the Project Origin where they are supposed to be?

Did you try it your self ?

I tried it with the default Template file with nothing in it and I can see the elevation markers in the upper left hand corner of the screen. Very tiny but there.

Turn on all layers and go to a Project Map were you can see what is there.
You may need to choose a different Project Map.
Then scroll out with your mouse to the extreme limit - not just zoom to extent.

No. They are all where they are supposed to be. Everything is relatively near the point of origin. There is noting out there in that extreme zoom. It is probably a harmless anomaly. There is nothing between the zoom to extent view and the extreme limit. It only appears as if there is.

I tried this but for me everything appears just fine.
The default Template has all 4 Elevation Lines close to the Project Origin and zooming out until the Zoom factor is 0.0000% and ARCHICAD beeps does not give me any artifacts.

Edwin might have given a good tip: try to update your graphics card drivers as this may only be a screen artifact, not an element being at the wrong location.

There is noting wrong with my graphics card or it's drivers.

Here is a video of the anomaly. I added lots of section markers to make the more visible. Make sure your elements are on the same story as the Project Map.

And you don't see anything in the top left corner?
My screen resolution is set at 1920x1080

I can duplicate the problem using my own template as well.
Zoom out by scrolling with the mouse in the bottom right corner of the screen and when it reaches 0% the artefacts will appear in the top left.

They can't be selected but they seem to be some sort of 'ghost' for objects (and section markers) placed near the origin (where they should be normally).
As you select the item near the origin and delete them these artefacts will disappear as well.

I have no idea what these are but I don't think they are the cause of any problems.

I think it is a harmless anomaly. The problem is that when your searching for corrupt elements it looks like you found some what actually this probably means nothing. If there were some stray node or something out in this space it would be difficult to see. For that reason, I think they should try to fix it.
