for about 15 minuets before ArchiCAD gets too slow to function. ?

I've used my current i7, GTX 260, SSD, Win7 setup on ArchiCAD 13-18 with no issues.

Installing 19 caused constant crashes with the nVidia drivers - old, new, WHQL - didn't matter. Graphisoft has only verified Quadro and FirePro cards. http://helpcenter.graphisoft.com/technotes/video-cards/recommended-video-cards-for-archicad-19/

With a couple of other systems in the office here I can report some results:

GTX 260 = fail, crash anywhere from splash screen to 3D window

Radeon HD 5670 = stable, but some shading issues in 3D window, renders are fine

GTX 650 Ti = stable, no issues

HI! We have recommended some adjustments to the registry to eliminate the crashes. In the meantime, we understand that the problematic video card has been removed by the user.

hi, i hope u can help me with this really frustrating issue i have, im an architect and i have been using archicad since version 11 now using 19.
i usually work on 3dsmax for interior and exterior night renders. then i tried arch 19 cina render , i liked the speed of it in the morning renders.
but when i render any medium scale design ex. 2 duplex villas and use lights and lamps , the render says calculating gi. and stays about 2 hours and whne it starts rendering about 2 days and thats in low res. my pc is good, i use graphic card quaddro m4000 8gb, windows 7, 250 gb ram. anw 3dsmax renders takes about 1 to 2 hours at full res. so please why does archicad lighting renders take a very long time and thats on test renders time. pls help
