Archicad 26 - New GPU RTX 3060 12GB Glitch

Hi,

I upgraded my current quadro P4000 graphics card to an RTX 3060 graphics card. Everything is working well apart from when I'm in 3d mode in Archicad 3D. The model isn't clear like before. Also when I'm in the 3d mode and I want to move a wall. As soon as I click control d the model disappears. This happens only in 3d and when I click control and then a keyboard letter such as M or E. Below is an example of when I try using control D in 3d

All drivers are update: Studio Driver 536.40

Yes updated to the latest RTX 3060 drivers.

Have you tried testing an older driver or the standard one? Nothing else changed with your computer?

so it seems to be file specific. All other files opened with Archicad 24 and 26 seems to be working fine. Looks like it isn't a driver issue. What could cause this in this specific file?

That would be hard to say.

First thing I would try is to open the file through the FILE menu > Open > Open (again), and then tick the 'Open & Repair' option.

If that doesn't work 'save as' a copy so you can destroy it.

Try placing a marquee around just small portions and see if that is any better.

Turn off any Solid Element Operations, delete meshes, delete layers, try anything to see when the file becomes 'good' again.

You need to isolate where the problem may be and only you can do that as you have the file.

I would also check of the model is too far from the origin, as strange things begin to happen in 3D.

Hi Barry, thanks for the suggestion. I've done what you've mentioned however it looks I'm still having the issue so it must be the file itself. I deleted each item to the point the entire model was deleted. I am now guessing there is an issue with the file itself.

As Jp1138 suggests, check that the model is not far away from the Project Origin, in it X, Y and Z directions.

Otherwise try another driver as Ling suggested, possibly an older one if the newest is not working.

If you switch the 3D engine to 'Vectorial' and there is no problem, then I would suspect a driver issue.

Is there an alternative to the 'Studio' driver?
