SAVED PROJECTS DISPLAY A WHITE BLANK ICON ON DESKTOP

My saved projects display a blank white icon and reject to open directly except by fist opening an archicad app the browsing the project.

Sounds like your .PLN file type is not associated to the Archicad program.

You don't say what operating system you are using.

Try this - it may be the same for both (unless this is a Windows only thing).

Look in the Archicad Program folder and there you will see a folder called "GRAPHISOFT Shell Extension".

In there you will see a file called "Register.bat".

Double click it to run.

Sometimes you have to restart your machine, but this should re-associate the program with the file type.

Otherwise, right click on the .PLN file and 'Open With'.

Browse for Archicad.

There should be an option to always associate with that program (this might be a Windows only thing as well - I don't have a Mac).

I looked for this on various websites including youtube and solved it using to delete the icon cache.
