topic Backing-up Data to CD-R with Easy Media Creator in Installation & update

<T>Excuse me if this is a post to the incorrect area.

I back-up work daily to a CD-R for each client that is worked on that day. I am (was) using Roxio Easy Media Creator drag-to-disc.

I am using Windows XP SP2. Which I guess now can copy to CD-R?

Problem is that I often have Drag-to-Disc not respond and currently I can not even read any data from a CD with previously saved project in 2003.

Anyone out there have such problems? Is anyone just using XP to copy and archive data to CD-R's?</T>

Yes, Jay,
have used easy cd burning method via drag to cd method with both Roxio and WinXP Pro/SP2. I'm not advising you to back-up your clients data using this "easy" method, because of often problems like yours.
Always after fresh system installing all works fine, but after short time they just burn saying "all fine". But after that "fine burning" the same writer or other cd/dvd readers aren't able to read from disc (at once to slow).
The best method for me is creating/burning "data cd" for all(main types) kind of files via Nero.
