Seen something like this when you have installed extra Add-Ons like Enscape, Twinmotion, etc

Weird. looks like you will need to trash the folder.

The other time I have seen this message is when you install AC into a folder and then change the name after installation finishes but that was in older versions IIRC.

why not just cut to the chase and do an uninstall / reinstall. that way you aren't worrying about all the under-the-hood stuff.

that may be the fastest solution, i just hate going through the setup all over again if i don't need to. it may also be nice to know why it's misbehaving incase it's a symptom of something else.

Even if you 'repair' it, you will still need to reset your Work Environment, DXF/DWG translators, IFC translators.

A repair just saves you the process of un-installing.

Hi,

The "Archicad 27 cannot be installed into folders that contain other data. select an empty folder or create a new one." message comes at the "New" installation, not in "Repair" mode.

At the end of a "New" installation, the installer saves "the installation information" (for example what what the selected folder for Archicad).

The Installer start in "Repair" mode only if the this "installation information" exists and the original Archicad folder exists and it is not empty.

In a comment above there is written, if the original Archicad folder is renamed, the installer cannot find it, so it start as a "New" installation, not in "Repair" mode.

Or if the "installation information" was deleted, the situation is the same, the installer starts as a "New" installation.

And the "New" installation accepts not existing or empty folder.
