<T>Hi, Folks,
We have a BIM file of 95 MB, File save / update times have exploded from 5 seconds to 20 minutes. Did we corrupt the BIM file ?
Initial test, saving updates to Windows Server, showed same 20min. save time.

Any Help would be appreciated. Thanks !
Does this help?

The problem is that - with the current implementation of the feature - the size of preview data grows linear with the number of lines on the floorplan. If you have a survey plan from DWG on a floorplan, it will explode the file...

The benefit of enabling it is that when you switch between stories or views, the navigator preview does not have to be generated, so the process is faster.

While working in plan, navigating between stories/views will be faster if this Navigator option is enabled. It is currently checked by default.

For reduced filesizes, uncheck the 'Save Navigator Preview Data' under Options > Preferences > 2D Redraw Options

The default will be changed in future releases, but this may mean slower Navigation times while working in plan.

It makes HUGE difference.
