Archicad 27 causes Archicad 26 to crash?

Hi,

I'm facing the following issue, but I don't know if it is specific to my machine: I made the curious conclusion, that Archicad 27 being open causes Archicad 26 instances to crash instantly when being switched to.

It doesn't matter whether it is a teamwork or single file, if I open AC27 and switch back to any of my AC26 projects, the active AC26 instance instantly dies.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Have any AC26 file open

2. Open any AC27 file

3. Have the AC26 window active again

4. Enjoy

Anyone else experiencing this? This is really annoying, as I often have older/other currently running projects which I would like to reference, and this issue makes this impossible.

SW: macOS Ventura 13.5.2 (22G91) with AC27 INT b4001 and AC26 INT b5003

HW: M1 Max MBP (64 GB + 24c)

Hi,

Currently having a similar issue. Archicad 26 will open but crashes eventually even if AC27 isn't running. The install of AC27 must be interfering with AC26 running somehow.

I'm still using 26 until I upgrade CI Tools but noticed this was happening after installing AC27.

Generally once I have the latest Archicad installed I delete the previous versions altogether.

If your libraries are replicated correctly you shouldn't need to open older jobs in AC26.......?

Hi, Since I've updated AC27 to build 4030, I'm getting this problem infrequently.

Which build are you on? I've also toyed with the idea of updating the OS to Sonoma, but I don't know what can of worms that would open, so I haven't done it.

Yes, you can migrate all your projects to 27 - in my case this is not an option for all jobs.

It's been a while since I noticed this happening, but today I got a crash again:

- Opening an AC27 (4060 INT) file (.pln) made AC26 (5003 INT) crash (Teamwork file)

I think there is a newer update to Archicad 26 that prevents this from happening? AC26 is on build 6XXX.
