I've got a strange problem;)

Many times a day, some materials inside the 3D View goes black. The only thing I need to do is switch first to Simple Shading (Vectorial) and then back to OpenGL Shading and then it's fine again.

It's completely black when I'm far from the object and it gets less and less black the closer I get. When I'm totally up close to the object, it has its original texture/color.

It's a nuisance;)

It's probably because I run ArchiCAD inside VmWare on Ubuntu GNU/Linux 17.04. It has really always been like this from ArchiCAD 19 and 20 and different upgrades of VmWare and GNU/Linux.

It's probably because there is some issues with the OpenGL inside VmWARE or some combination with my graphics driver and VmWare. It can be many things, but anyone else had this? Any pointers as to how I can troubleshoot it?;)

Hello famadorian

I think that you must not expect any solution on this forum for the problem you have.

Lynux OS and any VMware is not supported by ARCHICAD at all.
Here is the System Requirements for GRAPHISOFT Products:
<LINK_TEXT text="https://www.graphisoft.com/support/syst ... ents/AC21/">https://www.graphisoft.com/support/system_requirements/AC21/</LINK_TEXT>

It would be interesting for me to know though why you chose that specific configuration. Please let me know?

Hi, I've solved this now with the most recent 3d drivers.

This setup is because I don't use windows, so this is the only way to have ArchiCAD on GNU/Linux.
