rollbackBackupDirectory - Delete?

I'm trying to clear some space on my hard drive and am deleting some older versions of ArchiCAD. I noticed that the later versions of archicad have a larger install folder than some of the older versions, ArchiCAD 27 is about 10GB, ArchiCAD 28 is 15.6GB. I assumed this was additional features or material libraries but having just installed ArchiCAD 29 it is only 5.7GB, a little bigger but similar to the older files.

I ran Wiztree on the Graphisoft install directory and it seems 27 & 28 have a number of folders called rollbackBackUpDirectory. That seem very similar with regards to what they have in them. I assume these are save states from when updates are installed, is it safe to delete them after a while? Would it be safer to uninstall/reinstall that version of archicad?

It would only save 8.7GB but thats still almost 4% of the capacity

I can't say I have ever noticed these files, thanks for the heads up.

It looks like they are created when updates are installed.

I am no expert, but I would say it is safe to remove these files, just don't expect to roll back to older versions.

I wasn't aware you could even do this, I have always just re-installed if needed.

You could always ask your local tech support if you want to be sure.

I would simply move and rename those folders and restart to make sure Archicad runs properly.

If it does, I am sure they can be deleted.

Worst case scenario, you have to re-install Archicad.

Can confirm that I have deleted these files and Archicad seems to be working.
