topic Archicad 29 on Apple MacBook Neo - will it work? in Installation & update

Hi I'm thinking of getting a new MacBook Neo for remote working / on the road working. I currently use an 8 year old iPad Pro for this purpose (BIMx, Email, Word, Excel, Internet browsing, Dropbox etc.) and it has served me perfectly well - but needs an upgrade. I was wondering would MacBook Neo be an option that would also allow occasional ArchiCAD usage when I am away from the office (my office machine is a Mac mini, M2 chip 8 cores, 16GB Memory, 500GB SSD - and this machine works just fine with AC29 & TwinMotion). Has anyone tried installing AC on the MacBook Neo? Are the specs sufficient? (A18 Pro Chip, 6 core CPU, 5 Core GPU, 8GB RAM, up to 512GB SSD). I do mainly residential projects - max model size 500MB (most much smaller). Thanks for any advice.

I would be surprised if it was adequate for any serious work. While most would gravitate towards a MacBook Pro for "real" work, it is conceivable that an M5 Air would be a compromise for occasional residential work.

Will be interested to hear if anyone has actually tried AC on a Neo. Would love to be wrong. 🙂
