Weird crashes- Intellimouse driven?

Anyone having crashes unexpectantly when using AC8 R3 with Microsoft Trackball mice?
We have 2 workstations in the office that seem to crash when dragging, rotating, stretching paremetric objects. Or is it the NVidia GF video cards?
All have latest drivers. Also have 1GB of SDRAM.
Still waiting to hear from Graphisoft hombres'

In my office we found that most of our crashing problems were due to graphics card conflicts with ArchiCAD.

We ended up turning off the Open GL 2D acceleration. That seemed to fix most of the crashing.

Since AC6 we've had general problems with graphics card conflicts in ArchiCAD.

I think it is a graphics card issue.
I tried a totally different mouse ( Logitech trackball) with its own drivers and had a crash.
So what graphics cards are you using? I had thought that the GeForce Ti4600's we have were pretty damn good.
Anyone have luck wth others?...Radeons, FireGL's?

We are using both Matrox G550 dual-screen cards and NVIDIA GeForce cards (as well as a few other mfrs.).

Hey Antonin. . .have you tried updating your NVIDIA drivers? They just came out with a newer version on the 23rd of October.

Have you tried checking the 'Disable support for enhanced CPU instruction sets' option of your OpenGL settings in your NVIDIA drivers?

I have the latest greatest drivers installed. I'll try the diable cpu instruction sets........see what happens.
I'll let you know how it goes.

By the way......just what is "cpu instruction sets"?

Ohe basically. . .it's just a troubleshooting step, some applications make use of the CPU to do some of the rendering etc. etc. Basically, you're telling the driver not to send anything to the CPU. <shrug> It's worth a shot eh?
