topic XP Service Pack 2 in Installation & update

XP Service Pack 2

When I try to switch to openGL in Archicad it completely shuts down without even giving a bug report. Has anyone else had this problem?

BTW is happen only after updating to SP2. I thought about restoring to a previous day, but all the added features of SP2 (built-in popup blocker....) I would like to figure out this one little probelm.

I tried updating my video card driver, but that didn't work................

Yep, did see it happen.

Try reinstalling ArchiCAD; do check your video drivers - is there ANY incompatibility with SP2? nVidiaQuadro by any chance?

Just to make sure it is not the model - switch to Analytic internal engine with all the bells and whistles on, and see what happens.

I have a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200. Anyone had anyone problems w/ this model and SP2 XP?

Thanks Djordje. After turning on all the bells and whistles it works great w/o updating the driver.

Although my problem is with AC9 . AC8.1 ran perfect in opengl.

We may in the same boat here as far as NVidia cards/drivers go.

I also have a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 w/Archicad 9, and experienced similar problems. Updating the driver, as of now, does not help. I uninstalled Windows SP2 and it was clear sailing from then on.

Pentium 4 HT 3.0 / 2048 DDR
