Problem zooming with center ball of Intel I-Mac mighty mouse

I have been using a new I-mac with Intel processor (changed from MS windows machine) and ArchiCad 9 and was able to use the center "wheel" on the mighty mouse to zoom and to scroll when pushed down. My computer crashed at some point and now I can no longer zoom only scroll which I find a major pain. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Was it Ac that crashed, or the entire OS?

try trashing your AC caches, located in your username/library/caches folder. just dump the whole Graphisoft folder and start the program fresh.

I haven't used that mouse yet, or on an intel machine. There may be caches for the mouse driver too.

let us know if that fixes it, since I have some people here in the office who use that mouse, too.

Thanks for the suggestion. I think the problem occurred when the computer crashed and not AC9. In any case I tried deleting the cache files where you suggested but unfortunately it did not fix the problem. Do you think I shoud reload the AC9 software? I now have AC10 but have not yet loaded it since I want to complete some projects currently in the works on AC9. Maybe loading AC10 would solve the problem.

I am using the Mighty Mouse on my Intel Mac with no problem. I also suspect the crash. Perhaps the mouse driver got mucked up. A system repair (or reinstall if necessary) might do the trick. You might also be able to just reinstall the mouse drivers.

I have just come back to using a Mac after several years with PC's so I forget how to do things. Can you tell me how to do what you are suggesting?

To reinstall the mouse driver you should be able to use the disk that came with the mouse. Failing that Apple probably has the installer on their web site.

You can repair or reinstall the system with the system install disk. This is the more radical fix (of course) and can be troublesome if there have been system updates since the disk was made.
