<R>I understand a few previous post were deleted...dj this is a repeat in essence.

This seems to be serious. I have installed Panther on 2 computers, a DualG5 and an 800TiBook. I have 8.1 build 1290, which is not actually the last one, however I would be surprised if a later build is going to make a difference. I can not plot on the G5 from plotmaker. Plotmaker crashes almost every time, but if I plot 1 sheet, sometimes it works. I have cleaned the preferences but the problem persist. I can plot as usual on the Tibook, so to plot is requiring a move of the lbk and pmks, so I can't link. I plot stock plans daily...this is awful.

If anyone has a dual G5 and can plot from plotmaker (more than one sheet, a set of several sheets), please let me know...thank you</R>

I can.
Are you plotting to a plotter or a spool folder?

I typically plot to spool folder, and use Plotflow. hehe. still in classic! Let's go Graphisoft.

What AC version are you on, that might be a notable difference. I do use plotflow...but not in classic, however it behavies the same via file or straight to plotter.

Plotflow is non-classic now? sheesh. Where did you get your fingers on that?

I'm using Panther, and ArchiCad v. 8.0.0 v3 build 6318 on a dual 2 GHz G5. Plotmaker v. 3.0 build 6318.

Hmmm... maybe 8.1 is not an upgrade. What is new with 8.1?

I'm stumped...you can plot, I can't. I reinstalled build 6318 and again trashed all preferences, and it will crash when I try to send to a spool folder, same as before. I can plot a sheet (sometimes) without crashing, but not a set to a spool folder.

Have you tried plotting from ArchiCAD?

Not that you would want to for output, just as a test.

yes, but only 1 sheet at a time, which I can do most of the time in PM. It seems to plot 1 sheet ok, but not always. I just printed 7 sheets, one at a time, then tried again and it crashed...frustrating

but thanks

maybe you need suitcase to scan your fonts and delete the one corrupt..

sometimes in osx there are some font files who are activated by apps...then you can't see it,

if you use something like suitcase, you can correct your font problem....

hopes it will help you

AirPort wi-fi seemed to be a problem for one user on a G5, he switched to a CAT-5 (Ethernet) cable and all was well, multiple sheets plotted instead of just one.
