topic Rubber Band lines disappear in Installation & update

<DIV class="actalk-migrated-content"><T>When working in a project, after a period of time, when I draw a line or try to create a slab or anything like that I click the first point and the rubber band line that connects the first point and stretches out with the cursor disappears. The only way to fix this is to close what I am working on and close ArchiCAD and then reopen ArchiCAD and the file and then everything is back to normal for about an hour or so and then it starts doing it again. Any suggestions would be Helpful.</T></DIV>

Make sure you do not have opengl enabled in 2d. I have seen that problem occur when it is enabled.

It can also be a general graphics card driver problem. You may try downloading and installing the latest driver for it.

Run the graphics card test and it will tell you a lot ... the link is in the lower left, under the Video card database title, on the main page.

Have you tried a New and Reset? I think this could be connected to do with your preferences. When you first open ArchiCAD you have 3 options... select 'new project', use 'default' project settings (not latest) and then select use 'default' profile. Then you are given a New and Reset button to select.
