How do we unlink Sections?

Right Click on the S/E on the navigator or the floor plan select S/E settings from the Status of S/E View select either Manual or Drawing.

AC version and OS would be helpful.

Select your section, open the "Section/Elevation Selection Settings", look for status of S/E view.........Set it to "Drawing"

the others have shown the process, but what is the reason for you wanting this? speed? as they have also stated: your version number would be pretty helpful as AC9 now has the capability for 'manual rebuilding' the section/elevations. this prevents that whole rebuild process everytime you open up the window just to do some simple annotation editing, but maintains the 'live' status of the window. a simple click updates it if and when you want to . . .
