topic IP address for plotter in Installation & update

<T>Hi all:
Does anyone know how to assign a MAC address to a plotter on the network, that does not have an IP address. I understand that the IP address is assigned by the print server box- in most cases jet direct- but we are using a castelle print server box and it does not show up on the network except in OS9.

I am not sure if assigning a MAC ( Media Access Control) address will solve the issue but it's worth a try. At this moment we have to launch OS9 and run Plotflow for 9 to plot, with the new Plotflow for X, and using the TCP/IP option in the 'configure' you need to input an IP address or by my guess a MAC address should also be recognizable.

Anyone out there who could possible shed some light on this?

Thanks

Shaz</T>
