<T>Is there ever a response to a bug report generated by archicad. My archicad 10 has shut down 5 times today! Each time I send the report, will they get back to me? I'm not sure of the problem, I have archicad help open on a second monitor while doing archicad work. It seems as though when in the 3d view, I am trying to save a custom object, and then poof, there it goes. I have done this before with no problem, but today, no dice buddy!</T>

In tjhe 3 years I've used Archicad, I've never received a response to a bug report sent by Bug Reporter. (and I have 20+ users around who never have either).

Most softwares are like that. Crashes are reported to the developers, but it's more for the programmers than the tech support or customer service guys.

The service contract you signed for your subscription says you should report bugs to your reseller. I recommend bugging them often if you are having problems.

What are the specs on the machine your running?
Have you checked to see if there is an update to your video card?
Which build of AC 10 are you running?
Has anything changed on your computer latley?
How big a file is it crashing on? Does it crash on a new file doing the same thing?
If it's just this one file, try and merge it into a new file.
It looks like the problem might be my video card. I have the latest updates for the Archicad, and I've been working on this project for a little while now with no problems. Nothing new on the computer, only crashes in the 3d mode, usually when I'm on the internet as well.

I've had several such responses, both on bugs reported by the Bug reporter and on bugs that I've reported through the reseller. Mostly, they're either a request for more info to them, or a confirmation that it is a bug.

This process takes time, sometimes more than a week. And you usually don't get help in the first place. Graphisoft doesn't offer support this way, just through it's resellers and sometimes in this forum.
