Hi Oleg,

I think what you are seeing is by design. The 3D view that is shown in the door list is the front view of the door slab - not the front view of the wall that it is placed in. It provides a legend / schedule for the builder that is consistent regardless of the model angles (2D or 3D openings). See the attached screen shot, which basically shows what you saw.

I don't know how to get a 'frontal view' in the I.S. output that is square onto the door frame as opposed to the slab.

Happy New Year,

<T>When the IS builds 3D view of objects, it incorrectly sets angle-parameters (instead of degrees, radians are passed to parameters).
And the object has wrong model view.
It is for 8.0R3RUS (6392).
Anybody knows, is it corrected for 8.1
Hi Oleg,

I'm not quite understanding what you mean by "builds 3D view of objects".

I placed a D1 door in a wall and displayed the "opening in 3D" angle parameter in the IS. Whatever value (in degrees) I entered was reflected in the 3D window. Is that what you meant? If not, perhaps a screenshot of the problem that you see in R3 would make it more clear. (It could be a problem with a specific library part and not the IS?)

Regards,
I am sorry for my poor English.
Picture:
- left side is door list.
- right side is object inventory for the test object.

The test object:
One additional parameter (angle) "ang", default is 90.
2D script: PROJECT2 3,270,2
3D script:
IF ang>45 THEN BLOCK A,B,ZZYZX ELSE SPHERE A/2

Thank for the reply, I think, the bug is fixed in the 8.1, as you has a right 3D front view for the DoorList.
Happy New Year.

I dont think, this is by design. IMHO, this is the bug.
Unfortunately, I have not found in the standard library a door having any parameter - angle changing appearance of a door slab for demonstration of the bug.
Actually, I think, it is a serious bug, just luck, that basically doors of library have no such parameters.
For example, two variants for check.
1) Try to enter an angle of opening 2578 degrees instead of 45 degrees ( it is approximately 45*180/PI ).
Usual 3D view will be incorrect certainly, but in IS, the 3D view will as if it is 45 degree.
( attached picture)
2) Save As. any door for testing and add "PRINT gs_open_3D" to the 3D script for checking of the passed parameter value.
When you will "Update" placed IS drawing, you will see a message box on the current angle.
It will be 0.785398 instead of 45 (it precisely 45 degrees, but in radians).
As the value in radians close to zero, we see the door slab like it is closed.

Thanks, Oleg.
