installing 9 having problems with java

...i have tried to install 9 and the installation wiz started installing java...stopped because not able and asked me to go to java.com...went, downloaded last version, prior version, prior to prior version and still the wiz halts it self and asks me for java....HELP!

me too !! but java is always setup for open office ....

note the message send by the setup program :
... CreateProcess failed ==> 1% is not a valide win32 program ...

Note that java is setup correctly and java bin & lib path has been added to windows xp path env var

did you try to uninstall v9, uninstall java then do a fresh install? i believe v9 will then install java before installing 9
