The ".LCK" file is a temporary file that is created while a team member is accessing the .PLP file (signing-in/out or sending/receiving changes). The file gets deleted after the access to the file has completed. If the person crashes during this access time the ".LCK" file will remain. You will need to manually delete the file (as long as you know that nobody else is accessing the file at that time).

Once the ".LCK" file is deleted, you should be able to get back into the file.

I haven't experience the latter file/message.

<T>I notice a new .lck and a !!!Illegal Path!!! files, what for? I had a problem signing in and I will have to erase the .adm to get access as .pln. Are those new files something that i can use to avoid this tedious way?</T>

The .lck is created while someone is signing in/out or sending/receiving changes. It is automatically deleted when the process completes. The purpose is to keep two users from accessing the file at the same time.

When the ArchiCAD crashes during one of these processes the lock file is not deleted. You should be able to delete it and sign in normally. If you still can't get in, sign in as view only and save as a solo project.

I have never seen the !!!Illegal Path!!! file, so I can't help you there.

I delete the .lck and then it doesn't find the .adm and forced me to open it as a Solo Project. So, I will do it in the old way. I hope I can use your recommendations next time this happen.
Thank you so much guys.

Once you have it open as a PLN you can always share it again and turn it back into a PLP.

The !!!Illegal Path!!! file probably appeared because the path (including the file name) was longer than 256 characters during a save process. Maybe this occurred after a send and receive when ArchiCAD tried to move the old file in the backup folder. Make sure that the path of the file is not too lengthy.
